A Very Happy Christmas and New Year to all our clients!

Edgemoor Veterinary Practice is proud of the high quality of it’s ‘out of hours’ emergency service which more than satisfies current RCVS requirements.

• Staffing:
– Edgemoor Veterinary Practice provides a 24hour emergency service based at our Helmsley surgery (see map below) and staffed by our own practice personnel.
– A veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse are always available out of hours to attend emergencies.
– In-patients are cared for in the purpose built dog and cat wards at the Helmsley surgery with veterinary staff in regular attendance.

• Telephone service (01439 771166):
– ‘Out of hours’ calls to the practice are answered by our staff, who then contact the veterinary surgeon or veterinary nurse on call.
– Please use this service for genuine emergencies only, not for routine administrative or clinical queries, which should be made during normal office hours.

• Fees:
– Provision of such an emergency service is a great commitment and involves very significant costs. Therefore the fees charged have to reflect this. The veterinary staff on call are always happy to provide an estimate of ‘out of hours’ fees.
